Calendars finished on Sunday
Matt and Raphael helped collate, punch and staple the calendars this year! We finished the Davis Calendars on Sunday the 20th. I finished the Husby Family Calendars yesterday. Yippee!
I just had a lovely dinner with grandchildren and am about to spend the rest of Christmas Eve with them!
Merry Christmas EVERYONE!

I'm already started on the calendar!
Merry Christmas Everyone,
This year it feels like I have a bit more time! I love it. I have begun the calendar process early enough to be able to play with a couple of formulas that will let me change a column of dates to advance one year. Yippee! What a time saver.
I believe Ben Mastel was married this year but I have misplaced the information. If his wife reads this maybe she could message me the information I need for the family tree. My E-mail is carmendavis6@gmail.com or she can find me on Facebook. She isn't forgotten.
I have the information for two new babies; Claira and Issac, born in 2015.

Family Trees are updated for 2013
The Davis Family Trees are updated for 2013. You may use the comment form to send me your corrections at any time.
I am feeling much more confident in my presentation of the Davis Family Calendars this year because I have switched to using Excel instead Calendar Creator Plus.
I used to love Calendar Creator but every new upgrade has left me with more work and more confusion. If I moved something or fixed something, the repeat factor would be removed from the event I was working with or near. This was the most difficult thing for me to deal with because I'd have to recheck everything using too much valuable time. There were several other things that began to be problems and I began to dread making my Christmas Calendar.
This year I feel excited about it again. I know that as errors are noticed, I will be able to fix them knowing that the fix will remain in place instead morphing into something else.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Sincerely, Carmen Davis-Stevens

Organizing the disorganized
Today is the second day in a row that I dig deeply into the Davis Family Trees. I finished Lillian's Family tree yesterday and have entered her family into the calendar.
For those who are curious about why I add Lillian--here is the order of the story.
I started out by using Irene's copy of the family tree to make the calendar. Clarence, Tom's brother, requested a copy of that calendar. His family was small so I added them to the calendar using a different color for their font. Clarence enjoyed the calendar so much that he sent his off to his sister Lillian and requested a new one for himself. Lillian wrote to me and told me how much she enjoyed the calendar so I sent her a form to fill out. She did it... I added them to the calendar. Clarence also encouraged me to add Irene's only sister, Eva and her family to the calendar. So you can either blame or thank Clarence this year for all the names that are not listed in black.
March 9, 2013 will be his 100th birthday and that might be a good time to check in on him.

I'm still in charge
Funny. I'm still in charge. Joel doesn't want this job. I laugh. If I could find reasonable calendar software it would not be a hard job!

Almost Christmas 2011
I enjoy making the family calendar but it is time to pass it on. I choose Joel Wood. I haven't told him yet, but I'm putting it out there on the universe to be chewed until ready to be swallowed.
I hope to maintain these family trees for him. Maybe even do a better job than I've been doing.
Happy Holidays for 2011!
